These terms apply to everyone using the website. By using the site you accept them.

Øresund Life is an information and calculation tool. It produces estimates of net pay, tax, housing cost, commuting cost and pension outcomes for people living in Sweden and working in Denmark, based on published rules and rates that we document on the data and assumptions page.

It is not tax advice, legal advice, financial advice or investment advice, and it does not create an advisory relationship. Rules change, individual circumstances differ, and rounding and simplifications are unavoidable. Always confirm your own situation with Skatteverket, SKAT, Øresunddirekt or a qualified adviser before making decisions.

The calculator, the landing pages and the full breakdown are free and require no account or payment. Nothing on the site is for sale at the moment.

Please do not:

• scrape, bulk-download or resell the calculations, data or content;
• attack, overload or probe the service, or attempt to access other people’s accounts or data;
• present our estimates as professional advice to third parties.

We may suspend access that clearly breaches these rules, and will refund a proportionate amount where doing so would be unfair to you.

The site, its design, the bridge mark, the calculation engine and the written content belong to Øresund Life. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the service — it does not transfer any ownership. Public data we build on (Skatteverket, SKAT, ECB, Rejseplanen, Skånetrafiken and others) remains the property of its sources and is credited on the assumptions page.

The service is provided with reasonable care but without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or of the accuracy of any estimate. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us — which, while the service is free, is nothing.

Nothing here limits liability for intentional acts, gross negligence, personal injury, or anything else that cannot be limited under mandatory Swedish consumer law. Your statutory consumer rights always take precedence over these terms.

Tax rules, prices and data sources change, and we update the tool accordingly. We may change these terms; the version published at the time applies. If we make a change that materially reduces what the service offers, we will say so on the site.

If we ever have to shut the service down, we will announce it on the site with reasonable notice so you can export anything you rely on.

Contact us first at hello@oresund-life.com — most things are solved in one email. If we cannot agree, you can take the matter free of charge to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, ARN (arn.se), whose decisions we follow. General guidance is available from Hallå konsument.

Consumers in the EU can also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.

These terms are governed by Swedish law. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and disputes may be brought before the courts of your home country.
